Meet the folks who run the region behind the scenes!
For the first time in a while, the Metro East has a full Regional Director team! Our Regional Directors and Deputy Regional Directors help to solicit bids, plan, and organize the college postseason for all teams in the Metro East. We also serve as liaisons between teams in our region and USA Ultimate.
Our RDs are primary points of contact for the region, and help to plan and execute the regional championships each year. Along with the DRDs, they also help to plan and execute conference championship events. Find out a little more about the Metro East team below!

Amy Leder (she/her)
Women's Regional Director
Amy is an alum of the University of Colorado's Quandary (formerly Kali) and has been in the RD position since 2019. She currently coaches Columbia University's Curbside and plays for Brooklyn Book Club. Professionally, Amy is an architectural lighting designer with a passion for neon artwork.

Sam is an alum of Wesleyan University's Nietzsch Factor has been in the RD position since 2023. They currently coach Fieldston High School's Eagles and DiscNY's YCC program, TRY U. They play for New York XIST. Outside of ultimate, Sam is a performance lighting designer and high school theater teacher.

Women's Deputy Regional Director
Rushda has been playing ultimate since 2018 and joins us this season as the Women's DRD. She is an alum of SUNY-Stony Brook's Smash and currently plays for NY Starfire. Outside of ultimate, Rushda is a medical scribe and crisis counselor.
